Our licensed and trained nurse injectors are amazing and constantly keeping up with the latest techniques with training, webinars and extended education opportunities. We have brought in medical aesthetic professionals from several areas over the US and we will continue to do so. Our nurses have extensive backgrounds in the medical field, allowing them to learn fast, train hard, and practice safely. We like to offer variety to our clients and have options to choose from treatments to best suit your anti-aging needs. We are an Allergan-only clinic offering only the best and most researched FDA-approved topical injectables.

Consultations are included and needed prior to treatment. Botox (or botulinum toxin) is a protein that is produced by bacteria and prevents the release of acetylcholine at the neuromuscular junction, causing a “relaxing” of the muscle into which it is injected. Botox has been used for many years and for many different purposes, with the most common indication being a reduction of facial wrinkles. The most commonly treated areas include the forehead, between the eyebrows, and the crow's feet. Botox has also been used as a treatment for medical conditions such as TMJ, migraines, and hyperhidrosis. There are other brands of botulinum toxin including Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau.

Getting Botox is a very simple and easy procedure that only takes a few minutes. A small needle is used to inject the muscles with only minor discomfort. It generally takes about 7-14 days to take effect and lasts anywhere from three-fout months. A consultation is required to determine if you are a candidate for treatment and to provide an idea of the possible dosage.

Here at Skin Goals Local, we love filler! Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance in our body that supplies hydration and volume. In the natural aging process, the concentration of HA decreases as well as volume (facial fat pads) and skin elasticity (collagen).

Fillers are injectable gels that are mostly comprised of modified HA. When injected into the skin, filler temporarily replenishes volume loss and corrects moderate to severe wrinkles. At SGL, we carry the Juvederm and variety of the Revanesse filler collection. Filler can be injected into the lips, cheeks, nasolabial folds (aka smile lines), marionette lines, chin, jaw, tear troughs, perioral lines for adults 21 years and older. Pregnancy and breastfeeding is a contraindication to receiving injectables due to the lack of clinical research. The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, tenderness, lumps/bumps, firmness, discoloration, and itching that often resolve within 2 weeks. Other risks of fillers include infection (as with any other skin injection procedure) and vessel occlusion. Although rare filler can cause permanent complications including blindness/vision abnormalities and skin necrosis. Our clinics have filler dissolving medication (Hylenex) on hand at all times in case of an emergency. A consult is required with one of our medical personnel as there are special indications for treatment and longevity with regards to product specificity.

We will provide a full assessment and develop a personalized treatment plan for your goals to help you love the skin you’re in!
